Terry Brands Five Techniques

Terry Brands is  the Associate Head Wrestling Coach for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes and co-founder of World Wrestling Resource. He is an American Olympic wrestler who won a bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics and is a two-time NCAA champion.

Brands’ coaching experince includes serving as USA Wrestling’s National Freesyle Resident Coach for the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado from 2005-2008. He has also served as head wrestling coach at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and as assistant coach at Montana State-Northern, the University of Nebraska and the University of Iowa.

Cross Wrist: Coach Brands drills some “breakdowns from the takedown,” going from a double-leg takedown to a cross wrist grip to drive your opponent down to a more advantageous position for you on the mat.
